Creator C310+OBD2 code scanner is able to do basic diagnostic function and engine oil reset for BMW 1997 to 2018 (some 2019 and 2020 models covered). It’s very easy and stable to use. Here have collected some feedbacks from the users who have used it for reference, hope it helps!
Firstly start with a newest user’s test report on BMW X5 E53.
I received a new creator c310+ recently, it works well on my X5 E53.
This is the code scanner I bought. It comes with c310+ main unit, user manual, CD and usb cable, all goods are put in a carton and keep well without any damage.
When I plug the obdii connector of the c310+ to my car, the scanner turns on automatically. Then insert the car key to turn on the ignition switch.
Enter “Auto scan”, select “X5_E53”, and test it on Drive, chassis and body all system to do basic diagnostic function.
Enter “Drive” to diagnose ECM (Engine control module-DME/DDE)
-Read ECU info: OK
-Read trouble code: OK
-Clear trouble code: OK
-Read data stream: OK
Then go to Chassis and Body system to diagnose LEW (Steering-angle sensor) and AIC (Automatic Interval control) separately. Also read out ECU info, read& clear the fault code and display live data stream successfully.
After that, I also enter “Throttle” function, follow the prompt to switch on terminal 15 (ignition) and turn off to clear adaptation values.
Finally, I try to reset the service light on my car, but it doesn’t work.
This creator c310 plus code scanner is very basic and will do 90% things if you’re going to want it to do. It’s cheap and easy to use with the big buttons. I will try on other bmw cars to check if the engine oil can be reset.

“Very handy piece of kit. The c310+ was able to read live speeds from each wheel of my E46 320i to diagnose a speed sensor issue. Was then able to clear all codes. Also used to clear a misfire code after replacing old spark plugs.
Seems pretty robust and well made. Big buttons are easy to use with gloves.
Just remember to have the engine turned off when clearing engine codes!”

This c310 plus is easy to use although would recommend reading instructions, good price for what it does and did actually save me money by advising of abs problem. Also cleared fault on dash after fixing. Car was BMW E93.

This creator c310+ scanner is a tremendous value. Easy to use; it solved my problem by deleting an airbag code on a 2006 BMW 525i. Code was tripped due to low battery voltage caused by lack of driving during COVID. Drove car for an hour, then deleted the code.
@John: For a code reader/reset device that works buy one specifically for your car make/model.
I bought a cheap Foseal code reader, which was a waste of time having been tried and failed on three cars. This unit was more expensive but specifically for a Mini R53 where I’d triggered the airbag warning light when hoovering the dog hair from under the passenger seat (a common and know fault that a dealer wants £50 to reset). This c310+ device did the job nicely, and is available for any future use (or for any of the poor unfortunate sheep I know who might have bought a BMW).
@mod: Easy to use, works on Z3!
I used this c310 plus on my 2004 Z3 2.5L because I drove over a landscaping rock, and that popped out the suspension bar link to my driver-side front wheel (it was worn). I replaced the link, but the computer still reported a faulty ABS (ABS light, Break sensor light, and parking brake light all were lit yellow). I used this code reader to remove the codes (steering wheel sensor internal), and have not had any problems. As a bonus, I was able to also remove the airbag trouble code which was reported the error of low voltage (ultimately a problem related to the battery dying 3 years ago). So now all my lights are clear and it feels pretty awesome.

Bought this c310+ to clear the Airbag warning light on my 2011 Mini Cooper S. This was accomplished within 5 minutes after opening the package. Dealer wanted $150+ so for $55 and the ability to do it myself among many other things I am very satisfied.
