Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad can add new key and do all keys lost for BMW CAS1/ CAS2 /CAS3 /CAS3+ /CAS4 /CAS4+/ FEM/BDC via OBD, also can read ECU ISN, synchronize ECU and CAS, etc. Here will share the test report on a BMW 320D 2013 F30 FEM/BDC all keys lost programming using this all-in-one key programmer (need to remove the FEM/BDC module from the car).

Step 3: Prepare dealer key with ignition switch
The test:
Remove FEM/BDC from the car and connect with FEM platform and VVDI Key Tool Plus
Then select “Immo programming”-> “Europe”-> “BMW”-> “Select from system”-> “FEM/BDC IMMO system”-> “Key function”-> “Start programming”
Step 1: Read key information
Select “Read key information” to read out the related vehicle info, the status of ignition switch is “No Key” and only key 1 and key 2 have the key ID.
Pay attention to the prompt:
Prepare dealer key and reset KM require programming FEM/BDC, enable key and disable key no need programming FEM/BDC!
Step 2: Programming FEM/BDC system
Select “Programming FEM/BDC system”-> “Process Wizard mode”, then it enters the related operation steps page, click “Begin”
1.Backup the code
Open FEM/BDC module, read EEPROM dump via programmer, click “OK” to view the 95128/95256 chip position
Confirm use KeyTool Plus Prog function to write service mode data
Then remove the EEPROM and connect it to Key Tool Plus via EEPROM adapter
Make sure the connection is normal and continue
It shows “Read successfully” once the file has been saved.
2.Service mode
Restore FEM/BDC system, provide +12v and connect OBD
3.Programming preprocessing
Start uploading flash basic and advanced setting, it takes about 2 minutes.
4.Write back EEPROM
Open FEM/BDC shell-> connect EEPROM to keytool plus via EEPROM adapter again-> write the original EEPROM data read in the step 2 to 95128/95256 chip
Now write the data successfully, then restore FEM/BDC system, power and connect OBD
5.Recovery code
Go to verify the write coding
When the process is done, then means FEM/BDC programming is successful, and you can make a new dealer key form the main window.
Read key info again, it prompts that this unit no need programming, you can perform other operation directly.
Step 3: Prepare dealer key with ignition switch
Select “Prepare dealer key with ignition switch” and any key to be operated
It can’t autodetect CAS type, and need to choose type manually. In lost case read ISN from ECU, for add key read ISN from working key. So here select “Known ISN” option and input the value of ISN manually
Record the related FEM/BDC, DME/CAS, Key/CAS security key and ECU ISN info on the screen
Insert a new key to ignition switch and turn on or put it close to emergency start position to learn
When the key is learned successfully, read key info again, now it shows the key ID in the related key position programmed.
Result: Xhorse Key Tool Plus Pad successfully program BMW 320D 2013 F30 FEM/BDC all keys lost
